Dillon Danis took a page out of his former teammate Conor McGregor's playbook while responding to KSI.

On Thursday, a press conference was held to promote the upcoming boxing match between KSI and Danis. Unfortunately, only the YouTuber showed up at the event.

KSI understandably felt disrespected by the no-show. Expressing his frustrations at the presser, the Brit said:

"In terms of Dillon Danis not being here, I think it’s quite disappointing, disrespectful to me and everyone here expecting him to show up. It’s not something I haven’t seen before."

But, of course, Danis is not one to back out from a war of words. The Bellator fighter responded to the YouTuber's jibes by borrowing a phrase that his world-famous pal once uttered:

"f*** your press conference @KSI the king does what he wants. Jan 14th i’m gonna dance on your head live on @DAZNBoxing"

That exact line was one of McGregor's famous last words heading into his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The Irishman lost the fight via technical knockout after suffering a freak injury at the end of the first round.

Dillon Danis admits Conor McGregor has "no idea" about his fight against KSI

Dillon Danis has been a close ally of Conor McGregor for many years. However, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace admitted that his friend hasn't had the slightest idea that he's fighting KSI next month.

The popular influencer asked his opponent about McGregor as the competitors went back and forth on Kai Cenat's live stream. Danis replied by saying:

"He doesn't know about the fight. He's not interested in me fighting a YouTuber... This is like little s***. He's more worried when I fight MMA and I fight real fighters."

Danis is scheduled to have his first fight in over three years after two submission victories in the Bellator cage. The last time he saw action, Danis defeated Max Humphries in June 2019.

While unbeaten in MMA, Danis doesn't possess an extensive combat resume. He's set to his debut in the squared circle against KSI.
