Dillon Danis recently revisited his infamous brawl with Khabib Nurmagomedov after the former lightweight champion's historic contest against Conor McGregor at UFC 229.

The aftermath of Nurmagomedov's victory over McGregor in the headlining bout of the event was ugly, to say the least. After enduring numerous personal attacks from McGregor during the build-up to the fight, Nurmagomedov let his emotions get the better of him in the octagon once the bout was over.

After submitting McGregor in the fourth round, 'The Eagle' turned his attention to Dillon Danis in the Irishman's corner and jumped at him over the octagon. This led to a short but vicious altercation between the two teams.

In a recent interview with Chael Sonnen, Danis was asked to share details about the incident from his point of view. 'El Jefe' stated:

"During the fight, when he was up against the cage, he was motioning things to me with his face and fingers... In-between rounds, when I was behind Conor... I was looking across at him and he was screaming at me and trying to come towards us... After the fight, he was pointing and screaming at me, so I said, 'Come here,' and he came over."

Dillon Danis is set to face KSI in a boxing match on January 14 in London. This will be the Bellator fighter's first time competing in combat sports since his last bout in 2019.

Dillon Danis claims he had to pay Bellator to let him box KSI

Dillon Danis is set to make his professional boxing debut when he faces YouTuber KSI in the headlining bout of MF & DAZN: X Series 004 on January 14. The jiu-jitsu practitioner competes in the welterweight division of Bellator and has two successful fights under his belt.

Danis recently made an appearance on The MMA Hour show with Ariel Helwani. During the interview, 'El Jefe' was asked if he was still signed to Bellator and how the fight with KSI is working out. Danis replied:

"Showtime and DAZN are rivals so I had to pay a hefty fee. I don't know if I'm supposed to be talking about how much. I can say how much. I need my publicist. I don't want to get in trouble with [Bellator CEO Scott] Coker, but it's a lot of money. What I'm paying Coker to let me fight is more than probably everyone in the UFC."
