Bellator heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko has answered whether or not he'll return to MMA for Francis Ngannou whilst he prepares for his retirement bout with Ryan Bader.

Emelianenko is currently set to end his glittering career whether he wins, loses, or draws against 'Darth' at Bellator 290 tomorrow night. The 46-year-old will walk away from MMA with almost 50 professional fights (40-6) and with many fans regarding the Russian fighter as one of the best heavyweights in MMA history.

Whilst at the Bellator 290 presser, 'The Last Emperor' was posed with an interesting question by journalist 'Mini Khabib.' Emelianenko was asked whether or not he'd consider postponing his retirement if the now free-agent Francis Ngannou was signed by Bellator.

The Russian fighter, with respect to his opponent Ryan Bader, said:

"It is not correct to answer that question with Ryan Bader sat beside me and he's the champion at the moment. This is my last fight and I only think of this as my last fight. I want to have this fight with the champion of Bellator and be done."

'The Predator' was released by the UFC last month after failing to agree on a new contract with the organization. Ngannou had been pushing for their help to co-promote a boxing bout with Tyson Fury, but Dana White continued to refuse. The Cameroonian, therefore, vacated the title upon his release but is expected to face 'The Gypsy King' in a super fight later this year.

Michael Bisping believes Francis Ngannou could KO Anthony Joshua

Michael Bisping recently stated that Francis Ngannou has a puncher's chance should the Cameroonian face boxing heavyweight Anthony Joshua.

Rumors of a potential clash between the pair were recently confirmed by Joshua's manager Eddie Hearn. The Matchroom Sports chairman appeared on Ariel Helwani's The MMA Hour, where he claimed a bout between the British boxer and Francis Ngannou could be one of the biggest in history:

"The Anthony Joshua fight is just probably one of the biggest fights that could be made across any kind of sport... The value really is the unknown. What happens when two titans from the world of fight sports collide?...We know he punches extremely hard. If he lands one on Joshua, is it the greatest upset of all time? Or will AJ completely steamroll him?...That’s the attraction of that fight, the unknown."

Michael Bisping then weighed in on his YouTube channel. 'The Count' believes the Cameroonian would open up as the underdog but added that it's possible to see him walk away victorious:

"Joshua, potentially, will be there to get caught off a gigantic shot of Francis Ngannou and could you imagine it? Francis Ngannou knocks out Anthony Joshua, that is not that unlikely. He would be the underdog. Of course, he would. Anthony Joshua would be a massive favorite in that fight. But that is not beyond the realms of possibility."
