Conor McGregor's upcoming UFC return has the entire MMA community both curious and excited. One former champion even believes that there could be an added incentive when he fights Michael Chandler in his return bout.
Former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier uploaded a video to his YouTube channel where he and Ben Askren spoke about 'Mystic Mac's return to the promotion. Cormier mentioned that he believes he could be rewarded with a title fight if he defeats Chandler, especially coming off the extra exposure from The Ultimate Fighter.
He said:
"Dude, if Conor [McGregor]...It's over. Everybody, the only problem with that, Conor will get a title fight. If he beats Michael Chandler, he's getting a title fight." [11:50 - 12:02]
'DC' also brought up the former two-division UFC champion's status with USADA and mentioned he would have to get that sorted out if he wanted to compete and possibly earn a title shot, saying:
"He's still not in the testing pool...Bro, he's still not in the pool, they just wrapped The Ultimate Fighter. Like, then they asked Dana [White] about it and Dana said, 'Conor and USADA is not my deal,' so he's kinda like hands off, 'I'm not dealing with it, that's up to them.' If Conor doesn't have to go into the USADA pool, that's next level different set of rules." [12:12 - 12:36]
It will be interesting to see whether USADA grants McGregor some sort of exemption from the typical 6-month re-entry requirement and allow him to fight should he pass the tests.

Dana White responds to Conor McGregor's misunderstanding with USADA
Dana White recently weighed in on the misunderstanding between Conor McGregor and USADA after the anti-doping agency claimed that the former two-divison champion's comments regarding being granted an exemption were false.
White was asked if there was an update and if he could clairfy the situation and the UFC president had a hilarious reaction as he happily stated that USADA and drug testing as a whole is no longer his concern.
He said:
"That's not my job anymore, man, and I'm happy to be out of it. Talk to USADA. I have no idea. I want nothing to do with the whole drug testing side of this business, fu****g nightmare." [13:21 - 13:21]
Fans will have to wait and see how the situation develops as the UFC president has stated that 'The Notorious' and Michael Chandler will fight later this year.
