Former UFC fighter Jake Shields thinks that former US president Donald Trump has no chance of getting re-elected if he doesn't get back on Twitter.

In a recent tweet, the 43-year-old mixed martial artist opined that Twitter is the only platform through which the American business mogul turned politician can directly address his supporters.

The former UFC welterweight title challenger also joked that Trump probably doesn't even know how much of a flop his recently released superhero NFT collection is since he is not in the Twittersphere:

"Trump stands zero chance of winning if he doesn’t get back on Twitter. Twitter is the only way he’s able to talk directly to his voters and us back to him. He's probably not even aware of what a huge miss the NFT superhero was."

It's fair to say that the 45th US president's recently released NFT series hasn't been the huge hit he envisioned it to be. The $99-a-pop NFT card collection has generated numerous troll content on Twitter barely a day after its release.

Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign has also hit a roadblock as the 76-year-old's standing with the voters has reportedly hit a record low in seven years.

According to a Quinnipiac University poll released this Wednesday, only 31% percent of the voters have a favorable opinion of the former president while 59% harbor a negative view.

When UFC veteran Jake Shields compared Cardi B to Andrew Tate

Earlier this year, MMA fighter Jake Shields and rapper Cardi B got into a spat on Twitter when the veteran fighter compared the singer to controversial internet personality Andrew Tate.

In a subsequent interview with Inside Fighting, the former UFC fighter reiterated his comparison between Tate and Cardi B, saying that both of them were equally misogynistic in their own ways:

"They banned Andrew Tate, who is an extremely controversial figure, says a lot of things I don't agree with, but he also says a lot of great things... but he got banned from all social media, and Cardi B was left on and her message is you know, trade s*x for men, shake her a**, be a h*e, do dr**s... Just to say like oh, this guy is talking misogyny, she is doing the exact same thing but a female version... They are both kind of saying some ridiculous things."
