SBG Ireland is one of the most famous MMA gyms in the world and is home to none other than Conor McGregor himself. Straight Blast Gym-Ireland is headed and run by coach John Kavanagh.

The popular Irish MMA academy recently teamed up with Bellator to come together for a noble cause. It involved filling up an entire octagon with donated toys for underprivileged children on the occasion of the Christmas season.

Bellator fighters Peter Queally, Darragh Kelly, and Brian Moore, and SBG Ireland's head coach John Kavanagh participated in the cause headed by the charitable organization, St Vincent de Paul.

Queally was heard stating their mission at the event:

"We're here today because Bellator is going to attempt to fill this cage with toys for kids for Christmas for St Vincent de Paul... Happy Christmas from me. I'm delighted with how this went, the cage is almost full, which is what we wanted to do. It's a great cause, all the children in need are going to get a toy now. It's brilliant."

Conor McGregor joined SBG Ireland in 2008 after turning professional and being signed to the Irish Cage of Truth promotion. There is no doubt that the rise of the biggest superstar in MMA has to be credited, at least partly, to coach Kavanagh and team SBG-Ireland.

Michael Chandler previews the Conor McGregor fight, predicts a striking showdown between them

Conor McGregor is expected to make his highly anticipated return to the UFC octagon next year. He has been on the sidelines since his nasty leg fracture against Dustin Poirier at UFC 276 last year.

The biggest superstar in the UFC certainly has no dearth of eager opponents who want to face him in his comeback bout. However, the current frontrunner seems to be the explosive and entertaining Michael Chandler.

In a recent interview with Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie, 'Iron' was asked about how he saw their potential fight playing out. Chandler replied:

"Conor is dangerous and he's durable... He's not easy to get down... I'm gonna go out there and try to put hands on him real quick. It's gonna be a very fast paced first-round... He's got a lot of really interesting tools that are different than a lot of guys you train with. My prediction would be, we're gonna out there and we're gonna fight tooth and nail on the feet."
