WBC heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury is currently preparing to face off with former UFC champ Francis Ngannou this weekend.

Fury vs. Ngannou, which is being dubbed ‘The Battle of the Baddest’, will take place in Riyadh and will feature 10 rounds, although Fury’s title will not be on the line.

However, based on current reports, it seems that Tyson Fury may well be beginning to look past ‘The Predator’, who has never fought in the boxing ring before.

Last month, it was announced by ‘The Gypsy King’ on his social media channels that he’d signed a contract to fight WBA, WBO and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk in a unification bout.

However, the date mooted for Fury’s clash with ‘The Cat’ – December 23 – has already alarmed a number of people, Ngannou among them.

So could Tyson Fury really be willing to fight Usyk just eight weeks after facing off with ‘The Predator’? Based on what ‘The Gypsy King’ has now stated, the answer seems to be yes.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports (via reporter Michael Benson), Fury has stated that Usyk “has” to fight him in December, and if he doesn’t, “he’s breached contract and gets sued.”

Only time will tell whether ‘The Gypsy King’ is blustering with this quasi-threat, or whether he genuinely does intend to pull off such a quick turnaround. It’s fair to say, though, that he’ll need to escape his bout with Ngannou unscathed to be able to make this happen.

Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou: What did ‘The Predator’ say about Fury’s fights with Deontay Wilder?

Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou are set to throw down in the so-called ‘Battle of the Baddest’ this weekend in Riyadh.

Largely due to the fact that Ngannou has never fought in the boxing ring before, most observers are giving the former UFC champion a puncher’s chance at best.

‘The Predator’ is of course of the belief that he can defeat ‘The Gypsy King’, who suffered a number of bad knockdowns in his epic series of fights with Deontay Wilder.

However, Ngannou has gone on record to state that he doesn’t believe that those knockdowns will affect Fury and his career going forward. The former UFC champ also outright stated that he believes Fury is the best heavyweight on the planet right now.
