Undefeated Turkish lightweight sensation and upcoming ONE world title challenger Alibeg Rasulov is fighting not only against a dominant two-division king in 'The Warrior' Christian Lee next week, but also against the odds.
Heading into this next contest as the proverbial underdog, Rasulov knows the odds are against him, but he says it will not matter. The 31-year-old is confident he can get the job done against his toughest opponent yet, take home the gold, and keep his perfect 15-0 professional mixed martial arts record intact.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Rasulov vows to give Lee the toughest test of his career.
The Hyperion Fighters representative stated:
"Of course, I’m aiming for that belt, and he’s going to have a really hard time in this fight."
After he defeats Lee, Rasulov says he plans on reigning for a very long time and that he will protect his unblemished record by any means necessary.
He added:
"Yes, of course, my main goal now is to win the belt and, of course, stay undefeated."
Lee has not fought since winning the welterweight MMA belt with a four-round annihilation of former king Kiamrian Abbasov in November 2022. He went into hiatus after the untimely passing of younger sister Victoria 'The Prodigy' Lee in December of that year.
