Paddy Pimblett wears his Liverpudlian origins on his sleeve and a love for football is only natural for him. The loyal Liverpool fan recently revealed which rival footballer he's not fond of from another English Premier League team.

In an interview with Ray Parlour and Alan Brazil on Pub Talk, Pimblett named the footballer he would most like to fight. He previously mentioned that it was Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes. However, his compatriot and Manchester City's star playmaker Bernardo Silva now tops the list.

"Last season, when he first got signed, it was Bruno Fernandes because of how overrated he was. But now, it's Bernardo Silva, lad. I don't know anyone who likes Bernardo Silva, lad. Lad, he is an unbelievable footballer, he is a proper baller. But he is a horrible wrong'un. He's a piece of sh*t, yeah. That time when they gave us a guard of honor and he just stood there, like, come on lad. "

Silva and Fernandes have started both of Portugal's opening World Cup games against Ghana and Uruguay. Fernandes notched a brace against the latter on Monday to cement Portugal's place in the round of 16.

Pimblett also answered which footballers he thought would be good in a fight by naming two Liverpool defenders, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson:

"That's a good question, to be honest. I've never actually been asked that question. I'd probably say the same two straight away, Virg [Virgil van Dijk] and Robbo [Andy Robertson]."

Paddy Pimblett believes Jake Paul's fights are fixed

Paddy Pimblett is no stranger to calling out the biggest names in the world, having threatened Mark Zuckerberg in a memorable octagon interview. He recently gave his take on YouTuber-turned-boxing sensation Jake Paul.

'The Baddy' gave Paul his due credit for the hard work and training he has put in en route to a 6-0 unbeaten record in professional boxing against some of the biggest mixed martial artists of the last decade.

However, Paddy Pimblett did mention that he believes 'The Problem Child' fixes his fights. He referenced Paul's fight against Anderson Silva and claimed that Paul did not even connect with Silva when he knocked him down:

"I give Jake Paul his due now he's training that much, he probably could beat some professional boxers... He gets the best coaches in, the best nutritionists in, and stuff like that, Jake Paul is actually not that bad now, even though I think his fights are fixed."
