Malaysian-American teen phenom Johan Ghazali had a star-studded training crew for his scheduled return to action this week. He is all set to showcase the results of the work he put in come fight night.
'Jojo' trained at Superbon Training Center for his match at ONE Fight Night 32: Nakrob vs. Jaosuayai on Prime Video on June 6 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. He is up against veteran Colombian-American fighter Diego Paez in a featured flyweight Muay Thai match.
At Superbon Training Center, Ghazali was able to work on his game under the guidance of Thai superstar and featherweight kickboxing king Superbon, former ONE champions Nong-O Hama and Petchtanong Petchfergus and noted coach Trainer Gae.
Johan Ghazali said he learned a lot from his sessions with them, particularly on using his kicks, telling Sportskeeda MMA in an interview:

"There’s a lot [I learned]. But if I were to pick something, training with Superbon, I think I’ll be able to show a more improved kicking game. All the guys, Nong-O, Petchtanong, Trainer Gae, and Superbon, have helped me develop my kicks. So, I’ll be ready to unleash some."
Johan Ghazali is looking for a bounce-back win at ONE Fight Night 32 after losing in his last fight in January to fellow rising star Johan Estupinan by decision. The defeat moved him to further reassess his game and make the necessary adjustments.
ONE Fight Night 32 is available live at U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Johan Ghazali taking note of experience Diego Paez is bringing at ONE Fight Night 32
Johan Ghazali is aware that he is up against a veteran opponent in Diego Paez at ONE Fight Night 32 and is not downplaying the experience he will be bringing in.
The 18-year-old Rentap Muaythai Gym/Superbon Training Camp affiliate conveyed this in an interview with combat sports journalist Nick Atkin, saying:
"Diego is experienced. Of course, everyone's a lot older than me, but I think he’s more than a decade older than me. So, he's bound to have more experience than me. Other than that, you know, if everything goes well, it should be an alright fight."
Paez, 31, made his ONE Championship debut in February. He put out a competitive showing against Filipino-American Sean Climaco, banking on his technical aggression and explosive skills, but narrowly lost by split decision.
