It seems as though former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor is ever so eager to get back into the octagon. In a recent tweet, 'The Notorious' proclaimed that he'll be making his return to the cage once the filming of his Hollywood debut movie warps up.

The Irishman also claimed that he'll have multiple fights completed before the movie is even released. He recently posted on Twitter:

"I’m feeling crazy confident. Calm. Disattached from emotion. Aware of what I must do and making it happen. Visualizing. I see it all. Clear. This movie wraps, I’m back. I’ll have multiple fights completed by the time this movie even releases."

McGregor is currently shooting for Road House alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. The film is a remake of the 1989 cult classic of the same name starring Patrick Swayze. The film is directed by Doug Liman, who is famous for films like The Edge of Tomorrow and American made.

The Irishman has been out of action since breaking his leg during his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, UFC President Dana White stated that the 34-year-old was gearing up for an early 2023 return to the premier American mixed martial arts promotion.

When Conor McGregor confirmed that he'll be making his UFC return as a welterweight

UFC's biggest draw, Conor McGregor revealed a few weeks back that he will be making his UFC return in the 170 lbs division. Responding to Twitter user @RealDannyBrown's question whether he plans to move up to welterweight, McGregor said:

"Definitely."

If the Irishman does in fact fight in the welterweight division upon his return, it would be the fourth time the 34-year-old would be stepping into the 170-pound weightclass. McGregor's last octagon outing as a welterweight was at UFC 246 against Donald Cerrone. 'The Notorious' won the fight against 'Cowboy' via a first-round TKO.

The Dublin native's overall record in the 170-pound division is a respectable 2-1. Conor McGregor's only loss at welterweight came in his first fight against Nate Diaz at UFC 196.

Seeing as how the former champion has considerably beefed up during his recovery from the leg break, a return to 170 lbs indeed seems like a viable option for the Irishman.
