In August 2020, Stamp and Rodrigues fought for the ONE women's atomweight Muay Thai world title at ONE: A New Breed. Rodrigues emerged victorious by decision, handing the Thai megastar her lone promotional defeat in the sport.

Stamp has since bounced back and continued building one of the most impressive resumes in ONE Championship history. Meanwhile, Rodrigues remains the women's atomweight Muay Thai world champion.

While speaking to ONE, Jackie Buntan, the reigning women's strawweight kickboxing world champion, had this to say about wanting to see a rematch between Stamp and Rodrigues:

"I think that's the fight that's going to make the most sense. I'm a huge fan of both ladies. I give them their flowers - they're amazing. Putting them both in the small gloves and Muay Thai ruleset would just be such an entertaining fight. I really do hope that happens this year."

Earlier this year, Stamp Fairtex endured a setback while recovering from a torn MCL, an injury she suffered in 2024. As a result, the Thai superstar relinquished her ONE women's atomweight MMA world title, elevating Denice Zamboanga from interim title holder to undisputed champion.

Once Stamp returns from her injury, she's expected to challenge her close friend and former training partner, Zamboanga, for her MMA throne.

Jackie Buntan eyes two-sport supremacy after capturing kickboxing gold

Jackie Buntan captured the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world title with a unanimous decision win against Anissa Meksen in November 2024.

During an interview with ONE, the 27-year-old American had this to say about wanting to become a two-sport world champion:

"I'm at that point now like, 'What's next and how can I top this and keep topping that?' Right now, I think the Muay Thai title makes sense."

Jackie Buntan's ONE Championship tenure has primarily been in Muay Thai, where she holds a record of 6-1.

Buntan's lone promotional defeat was against Smilla Sundell for the ONE women's strawweight Muay Thai world title. Sundell vacated the title due to missing weight, potentially setting up a rematch with Buntan for the unoccupied throne.
