Multi-sport combat athlete 'Mini T' Danial Williams of Australia and Thailand is hardly fazed in the face of danger, despite being scheduled to face one of the most explosive fighters on the ONE Championship roster for his next bout.
Williams will head back to 'the art of eight limbs' when he takes on talented striker Thongpoon PK Saenchai next week, and the 31-year-old Australian-Thai veteran says there's nothing Thongpoon can show him that he hasn't seen before.
Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Williams talked about fighting Thongpoon.
'Mini T' said:
"Of course. Of course, man. I’m in a really good position right now. I’ve faced fighters like him before in a similar position, but sometimes you can’t be too sure."
Williams is set to throw down with Thongpoon in a three-round strawweight Muay Thai clash.
The two lock horns at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Prime Video, which broadcasts live in U.S. primetime on Friday, Dec. 6 from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live and absolutely free with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Danial Williams looks to pick up a few pointers from great Muay Thai opponent Thongpoon PK Saenchai: "I'm going in there to learn"
'Mini T' Danial Williams isn't just going into the fight with Thongpoon PK Saenchai at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video looking to scrap. From this contest, he wants to learn a few things from his counterpart as well.
He told Sportskeeda MMA:
"It’s also been a while since I fought Muay Thai. So I’m coming into this fight, I’m going in there to learn. To learn a lot about myself. I feel like I’m the best version of myself, but I won’t really know until I’m in there."
