Israel Adesanya will soon be free of the charges he faced after being caught with brass knuckles going through the John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) security check.

'The Last Stylebender' was briefly detained by the Port Authority Police at the airport on November 16. He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, given a desk ticket and eventually allowed to fly home.

However, as reported by MMA Fighting, it has now come to light that on Tuesday, a court in Queens County, New York, issued the Nigerian-born Kiwi an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal (ACD). This means his charge will be dismissed in six months if he doesn’t get arrested again in the county. TMZ initially broke the news.

It was further reported that Israel Adesanya was represented in court by David Fish, general counsel for Paradigm Sports Management. Fish told MMA Fighting:

“It was very simple and straightforward, both law enforcement and the Queens DA did the right thing here. He stays out of trouble for six months, and this is dismissed and sealed... You can’t possess those things, but it was really just an innocent mistake. He rushed out the house he was staying in to get to the airport and basically dumped everything into his suitcase."

Israel Adesanya praised Kevin Holland's corner during his fight against Stephen Thompson at UFC Orlando

Israel Adesanya expressed his appreciation for Kevin Holland's corner for throwing in the towel against Stephen Thompson at UFC Orlando on December 3.

Starring in the main event, Holland and Thompson engaged in an entertaining barnstormer of a fight, both putting their striking pedigrees on full display. However, Holland's coaches stopped the contest before the fifth round, after their pupil broke his hand during the fight. Thompson emerged the winner via a fourth-round TKO.

Israel Adesanya seemed to approve of the decision taken by 'Trailblazer’s' corner and reacted on his YouTube channel, stating:

"Good job on them [Holland's corner]. Let him fight another day for good sh**. What is his arm, something... He's just standing there and taking punishment, so he would've just done the same thing again... Credit to both warriors. I'm just watching the highlights right now. F**k. That's sick, man. My man [Thompson] was spinning like a ballerina. Beautiful. Congrats, 'Wonderboy'. Head up, Kevin."
