This week, Jake Paul announced that his company, Betr, had signed UFC newcomer Bo Nickal to help launch a new combat sports alternative experience.

In 2022, Jake Paul founded Betr alongside Joey Levy and their focus has been to provide a service that offers micro-betting. Micro-betting is described as betting on live individual events that happen within a game and don't affect the final score. An example would be betting on whether or not the next free throw in an NBA game will be missed or not.

With a successful first year behind them, Paul and Betr announced that they are expanding into the combat sports market. Betr Combat is set to offer fans 24/7 coverage of combat sports around the world, post-fight analysis as well as their own exclusive shows.

In a statement about the expansion, Jake Paul said:

"Combat sports and content creation are my passions, so the launch of Betr Combat was both exciting and inevitable. We are building a media enterprise with the goal of attracting top tier talent in every sport and this is no exception"

To help expand and promote the new product, Betr Combat also announced they had signed UFC prospect Bo Nickal alongside popular MMA journalist and personality David "The Schmo'' Schmulenson.

Addressing the announcement in an interview with TMZ Sports, 'The Allen Assassin' said:

"I'm excited to be part of the company. I love the vision that Joey Levy and Jake has for it. As soon as they approached me, I wanted to join. I'll be focused on the media side with insider views into my fights and fight camps."

Jake Paul discusses how boxing saved his life

Jake Paul is set to once again enter the squared circle as he faces long-time rival Tommy Fury on February 26 in Saudi Arabia. The pair have been in a heated rivalry for a number of years, and after multiple fights falling through, they are officially set to face off later this month.

In the build-up to the fight, the former Disney channel star opened up about the impact boxing has had on his life. 'The Problem Child' explained that his fame had him heading down a bad path, before committing himself to boxing "saved" him.

During a recent interview with BusinessLend, Paul said

“I need boxing. Boxing saved me. I was in a super dark place in my life. I lacked discipline, lacked routine, lacked community, lacked passion, lacked progress. Boxing gave me all of those things, and I loved punching people and getting punched! I love the pace of it, the strategy, everything behind it. It’s an art...I love the sport, that’s really what it is.”
