At ONE Fight Night 8, Janet Todd gets the opportunity to add another world championship to her already long list of accolades.

As the holder of the atomweight kickboxing world championship, 'JT' has established a dominant reign over the division.

This granted her the opportunity to compete for the interim atomweight Muay Thai title at ONE 159 in July, where she defeated Spain’s Lara Fernandez via unanimous decision to become a two sport world champion.

On March 24, Todd gets the chance to turn her ONE interim Muay Thai world championship into the undisputed belt when she attempts to unify the division against the returning champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.

In preparation for this contest which was rescheduled from December last year, Janet Todd is leaving no stone unturned, getting herself into phenomenal shape.

ONE Championship recently posted a video of the American in training alongside the caption:

“Doesn't get much slicker than that 😤 Can "JT" come out on 🔝 when she enters the Circle to unify the ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Championship against Allycia Hellen Rodrigues on March 24 at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video? 👑 @jmcoakle

Janet Todd loves ONE Championship’s emphasis on values over drama

Janet Todd is grateful to be competing under the ONE Championship banner where her key principles are held by the promotion she fights for. The atomweight kickboxing and interim Muay Thai world champion hopes to encourage fighters to follow the same path that she has and isn’t trying to cause some drama along the way.

Todd is a beacon for female strikers thanks to her success in both Muay Thai and kickboxing. She has helped break barriers down by competing in big events and winning titles at a time when female competitors in certain striking sports weren’t taken as seriously.

At ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24, Todd gets another opportunity to tread new ground in her career as she attempts to unify the Muay Thai world championships against the returning Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.

Whilst her achievements in martial arts speak for themselves, 'JT' is equally proud of the fact that through it all, she has been true to herself and the principles that she wants to represent.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Todd spoke about competing as part of ONE Championship’s roster:

“I just like ONE Championship's values of respectfulness, discipline, and there's not as much of that sh*t-talking, drama kind of stuff. Everybody's kind of, for the most part, respectful of each other. I think that's something that young athletes can look up to.”

ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24 is live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The entire event will air live and for free via Prime Video for North American viewers.
