It was business as usual for Thai dynamo Jaosuayai Mor Krongthepthonburi in the main event of ONE Fight Night 32 inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, June 6.

The Sor Dechapan athlete collected his fourth knockout victory from his last five appearances, arguably his best one yet, against the No.5-ranked flyweight Muay Thai contender Nakrob Fairtex.

His hands have always been his go-to weapons to put opponents away, but on this occasion—fighting for the first time on the main roster of ONE Championship—the striking specialist produced an early contender for Knockout of the Year with a vicious 52-second head kick KO of the Fairtex Training Center warrior.

Jaosuayai's knockout, of course, immediately gained him comparisons with one of the best kickers across martial arts today, ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9, whose fight moniker 'The Kicking Machine' is a dead giveaway as to what he does best.

However, during the post-fight press conference inside the Mecca of Muay Thai last week, he humbly played down any talk about being in the same league as Superlek. Instead, the Bangkok-based fighter said his wicked finish of Nakrob was something he learned from another Thai great, ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon.

"I don't want to compare myself to Superlek just yet, but I just want to say that this kick, I learned from Superbon. He has such a great kick, and he has such a great rhythm that he would just set himself up and then just do the high kick," Jaosuayai shared, while adding: "So I just want to put it out there that his kick is amazing."

Amazing is, indeed, the perfect word to describe Superbon's missile-like kick that has put some of the best warriors in the business to sleep, none more astonishing than the one he delivered inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium at ONE: First Strike in October 2021.

The Superbon Training Camp founder unleashed his trademark tool to sleep Giorgio Petrosyan in the second round of their world title contest. His sublime finish of 'The Doctor' was later named the 2021 ONE Super Series Knockout of the Year.

Jaosuayai details nerves leading up to Nakrob war

While Jaosuayai appeared to be as cool as a cucumber in the seconds leading up to his match-winning moment, the Sor Dechapan fighter revealed that was far from the case as he made the long walk down the ramp into the ring.

"It’s probably the most nervous fight I’ve ever encountered because when I was walking out, I felt like some brain fog, I felt like something was in my chest," he told Nick Atkin in a backstage interview shortly after his triumph. "And right after the fight, I felt all the symptoms were gone. So, yeah, maybe I was nervous."

Jaosuayai's triumph in the main event made it two wins from two for his gym at ONE Fight Night 32. His teammate, Aliff Sor Dechapan earned a unanimous decision victory over Elmehdi El Jamari in the co-main event.

North American fans can relive all the action from the organization's recently concluded U.S. primetime card on Amazon Prime Video.
