Although John Lineker may not have officially been beaten by Fabricio Andrade at ONE Fight Night 3 on Prime Video, it was clear that the former champion would have a lot to work on ahead of their rematch.

Andrade was in the ascendancy during their fight when an unintentional low blow meant that Lineker couldn’t continue. With that, the fight was declared a no contest.

With an immediate rematch booked for ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24, the big question surrounds how can Lineker make the adjustments to change the fight this time around.

Whilst he had some success with his grappling, it was Andrade who dominated the striking exchanges, which is usually where the former champion thrives.

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda, John Lineker revealed that his game plan for the rematch is more focused on little tweaks to his game instead of a completely new plan:

“The strategy won't change much, but I'm improving a few things. I've been working on footwork, how to better move my head, and how to better shorten the distance during the fight. I'm going to keep practically the same game, only more evolved.”

Many are predicting that he will lean even heavier on his grappling after having success against Andrade once he decided to stop exchanging strikes with him.

The thing to remember is that with John Lineker, it only takes one shot to change the entire course of the fight. His 17 pro wins by way of knockout speak for themselves.

Fans in North America can watch the event live and for free on Prime Video with an Amazon subscription.

WATCH: John Lineker shows off hand speed ahead of Fabricio Andrade rematch

Former ONE bantamweight world champion John Lineker has accomplished a lot in the sport of MMA, largely thanks to the power in his hands.

The nickname ‘Hands of Stone’ has served the Brazilian gunslinger well through his career. But it’s not all about the dynamite in his hands, it’s the speed with which he lands his knockout blows.

In a recent Instagram post on his account, Lineker shared a video that showcases his rapid hand speed:

"GOD is my strength !!"

There aren’t many fighters in the world that could stand toe-to-toe with Lineker’s ferocious speed and power, but that’s exactly what Fabricio Andrade did in their first fight.

With their rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video quickly approaching, a huge question is whether Lineker will be able to put his hands to good use this time around and try to put away his fellow Brazilian knockout artist.

His punching power is what proved to be the difference in his fight with Bibiano Fernandes for the world championship. After being stripped of his world title on the scales ahead of his first meeting with Andrade, Lineker will once again try to claim the title with his fists.
