John Lineker says that he isn’t affected by the words of Fabricio Andrade.

Andrade came into their first fight with a lot to say and after his performance at ONE on Prime Video 3, his confidence only grew.

Whilst the fight may have ended in a no contest, ‘Wonder Boy’ dominated the majority of the bout, which gives him a mental advantage going into their rematch on February 24.

With all of his high-level experience in MMA, which he has far more of than his opponent, Lineker doesn’t see much merit in the words that leave Andrade’s mouth.

Ahead of ONE Fight Night 7, the former bantamweight world champion is blocking everything else out as he focuses on putting this chapter with his fellow Brazilian to rest.

In an interview with MMA Sucka, John Lineker said:

“I’m a guy who doesn’t care for that kind of provocation. I don’t even see what he’s talking about. My focus is inside the cage. If he’s talking, he’s not talking to me, because it’s indifferent and doesn’t change anything for me.”

John Lineker vs Fabricio Andrade 2 is scheduled for the main event of ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24. Live from the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the entire event will air live and free for North American viewers via Prime Video.

John Lineker takes notice of Stephen Loman’s rise in the division

Despite his focus on winning back his bantamweight world championship in his next fight, John Lineker is aware of what is happening in the rest of the bantamweight division.

Stephen ‘The Sniper’ Loman has produced a great run since signing with ONE Championship and is currently on a 11-fight win streak.

As the clear top contender outside of the two Brazilians involved in the main event of ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, John Lineker couldn’t help but take notice of Loman.

Following his performance against Bibiano Fernandes in his last fight, Loman positioned himself as the next in line for whoever emerges as the bantamweight world champion.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Lineker said:

"It was a very tough fight, both fighters gave themselves a lot in the fight. Stephen Loman is certainly a future challenger for the title. I almost fought him, but he got Covid and ended up changing my opponent. But he's definitely a contender for the title."

Loman will be closely watching on February 24 to see who he will be facing once his world championship opportunity comes around. Both Andrade and Lineker know what is waiting around the corner should they be successful at ONE Fight Night 7 but first, they must settle their score in the highly-anticipated rematch.
