UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is one of the greatest fighters of all time. In his sitdown on the DeepCut podcast from two weeks ago, 'Bones' was asked for his personal pick for the four greatest fighters in MMA history.

So, when asked, Jones wasn't short on choices. In fact, he was certain of at least two other legends: Demetrious Johnson and Georges St-Pierre. The former is widely regarded as the greatest flyweight of all time, while the latter is often held as the greatest welterweight in history.

"Top four. Demetrious Johnson. Anderson Silva. Georges St-Pierre, and myself. In no specific order. I think we've all done really great things in this sport."

Johnson and St-Pierre are names often-cited when debates about the greatest fighter of all time arise. Johnson has the most consecutive title defenses in UFC history, with 11 to his name. Meanwhile, St-Pierre has 9, but is also a former two-division champion, having held both welterweight and middleweight gold.

The other name 'Bones' listed was the great Anderson Silva, who was, at one point, widely regarded as the greatest fighter ever. Unfortunately, the rough patch that ended his MMA career as well as Jones' continued success at the top led to a shift in the narrative. Still, 'The Spider' remains highly revered.

He has 10 successful title defenses at middleweight, and possibly the greatest highlight reel of any fighter who has ever stepped into the octagon.

Jon Jones recently defeated a foe on the MMA heavyweight Mount Rushmore

At UFC 309, Jon Jones authored a fine performance as he defended his heavyweight belt against ex-titleholder Stipe Miocic. It was a fairly dominant affair that saw 'Bones' take him down, and even rock him on his feet with a punch in a rare glimpse of power, before TKO'ing him with a spinning back kick to the body.

Miocic was no scrub either. He is the greatest heavyweight in UFC history, owning the record for the most title defenses in the division, with wins over ex-champions like Francis Ngannou, Daniel Cormier (2x), Junior dos Santos, Fabricio Werdum, and Andrei Arlovski.

Jones has also beaten legendary heavyweights like Alistair Overeem. The only other heavyweight who arguably ranks higher than him is Fedor Emelianenko, who was, at one point, in the running for the GOAT of the sport.
