Jon Jones believes Alex Pereira will be victorious once again when he faces Israel Adesanya in their rematch at UFC 287.

'Poatan' stunned the world at UFC 281 last year when he TKO'd long-time rival Adesanya for the middleweight title. The bout was a highly entertaining clash that pitted two of the best kickboxers in combat sports against one another. Down on the scorecards in the fifth round, the Brazilian's persistence and heavy hands eventually paid off as he snatched the victory from 'The Last Stylebender'.

Alex Pereira's win over Israel Adesanya now means he leads their unofficial head-to-head 3-0, having previously defeated the Nigerian-New Zealander twice in kickboxing.

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Jon 'Bones' Jones said that he doesn't expect a different result the second time around as he believes the Brazilian has Adesanya's "number":

"I believe Pereira's going to win again. There's some athletes that just have other athlete's number. He works hard and I'm rooting for him. I believe he's going to do it again."

Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya's rematch will take place at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida. The stacked card also features an equally exciting co-main event as welterweight Jorge Masvidal returns to the octagon to face Gilbert Burns.

Chael Sonnen casts his prediction for Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane

Jon Jones headlines this weekend's UFC 285 card as he takes on Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight title. The bout marks the end of Jones' three-year absence from the octagon and will also be his heavyweight debut.

MMA fans and personalities have spent the last two months trying to predict the upcoming clash, and this time Chael Sonnen has weighed in on his YouTube channel.

'The American Gangster', who shared the octagon with 'Bones' back in 2013, wants to see the Frenchman crowned the champion because of his own personal issues with Jon Jones:

"I am really bad at making predictions. I am so bad at making predictions that the kids online have renamed my prediction 'The Curse', 'The Chael Curse'... Now, I'm aware of that, and I'm hoping, I want you to be right. I want longstanding predictions to backfire. That's how much I want against Jon Jones. That's personal of course."
