Jordan Peterson compares "gender-affirming care" to Nazi Germany experimentations on Joe Rogan's podcast, UFC commentator reacts

Episode #2180 of The Joe Rogan Experience has just yielded one of the podcast's most controversial moments after polarizing clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson likened gender-affirming surgery to the horrifying experiments Nazi Germany conducted on captives and unwilling participants in concentration camps.

While Rogan didn't go as far as Peterson did in his condemnation of the procedures, he shared a similar view, describing it as "dark" and scrutinizing gender-affirming care by citing an article that reported on a patient describing said procedure as life-saving medical care to receive insurance.

Peterson's words, though, were the most visceral.

"They just rushed her down the puberty blocking and surgical pathway. That's inexcusable. It's the worst thing I've seen professionals do, not only in my lifetime. I've studied atrocity for 40 years. I've never seen anything worse than what's happening right now, and that includes the sort of things that were done in the camps in Germany. At least the godd*mn Nazis admitted what they did was wrong. They tried to hide it."

Although Rogan was more careful with his words, he seemed to agree largely with Peterson's criticism of gender-affirmation care.

"It's dark, it's attached to an industry now, which is very scary. There was an article that was recently released, where this person admitted that they said it was... what was the exact phrase? That the way they described gender transition as a life-saving medical care in order to get insurance for it, cause otherwise insurance won't pay for it, so they were willing to describe it in that way to ensure that people would profit off of it, which is wild."

Peterson isn't the only one to express such sentiments, as SpaceX CEO and fellow multi-time JRE guest Elon Musk also did so on a different platform.
