He said:

“Superbon is against the odds. It's a very big fight. Now we see a different Allazov. Allazov is ready for the fight, he comes back training hard like the Allazov of one time. I'm really excited to see Allazov against Superbon, but more excited to see Superbon's rematch against Giorgio Petrosyan.”

Chingiz Allazov comes into his huge title fight off the back of winning the featherweight kickboxing Grand Prix. He will pose a big threat to Superbon, who has been in incredible form since knocking out Giorgio Petrosyan at the end of 2021 to become the champion.

Allazov finds himself in a similar position to Joseph Lasiri, who, despite his recent performances, will need to find another gear if he is to dethrone one of the best strikers in the world, the flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang.

After going 3-5 inside the circle, Joseph Lasiri picked up back-to-back finishes to see him win the world championship.

In a recent interview with ONE, the champion discussed his past adversity, saying:

“Yes [I lost those fights], but I worked all the time. When you win, okay, the emotion is bigger because the people around you are happier, but when I lose, I can look at myself in the mirror without a problem.”
