Muhammad's defeat to Jack Della Madellena took the MMA world by storm, as the Australian ended his 11-fight undefeated run with a dominant performance.

Holland was not the one to hold back when reporters asked him about Muhammad's loss during UFC 316's media day:

“It was pretty cool to see Belal lose the belt…I’ve never thought the world of Belal. He’s a hard worker, he puts in the work, but I mean, camps boil down to who’s going to put in the most work and as long as you outwork during the camp, you can damn sure outwork him in the fight. That’s all he really has is work ethic.”

Holland added:

“Shout-out to anybody who’s successfully gotten a UFC belt, props to you. But if you haven’t defended the belt, did you really get a f*cking belt?"

Muhammad rebutted with a fiery response on X, pointing out Holland's uncanny track record inside the octagon. He wrote:

“It’s always the ones that’ll never touch gold that have the most to say. Doesn’t this bum lose every other fight he’s in?”

"I expect it to go my way, 100%. Had this been a few years ago, then I'd probably tell you it'd be a true barnburner... but, 100% my way... I plan on going out there that [chin] early, and I don't think he gets back up."
