Khamzat Chimaev has his sights set on both the UFC welterweight and UFC middleweight titles. The superstar has risen through the UFC rankings in the past two years, with impressive performances in both weight classes.

At present, the only man to ever hold both the UFC middleweight and UFC welterweight titles is Georges St-Pierre. 'Rush' is often spoken about as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time.

Khamzat Chimaev and Georges St-Pierre were both in attendance for the PFL World Championship, held in New York last weekend.

The image of the two fighters together has sparked conversation among fans about who would win if they ever faced each other. Many seem to think that the evolution of MMA would be too much for 'Rush' to handle.

@DovySimuMMA posted this:

@lazyhazyman responded by claiming that Chimaev could 'kill' Georges St-Pierre:

"Do you want George to get killed? Even prime GSP gets put down within 2 rounds. Name one opponent he’s faced that was better than Khamzat!"

See the tweet below:

Another fan, @DawnWasTaken_, was shocked that a comparison between the two fighters had even been made.

However, other fans on Twitter seemed to agree that Chimaev would be too much for St-Pierre.

Khamzat Chimaev thinks he deserves a title fight against Alex Pereira

Khamzat Chimaev took to Twitter to call out new UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira following the Brazilian's victory over Israel Adesanya at UFC 281.

'Borz' stated that the fight would be "easy money" for him. Chimaev's superior grappling advantage makes it hard to deny that he could beat Pereira.

'Borz' also claimed that if 'Poatan' received a title shot with an MMA record of 6-1, then his 12-0 record would surely be more than enough to be awarded a title fight.

Khamzat Chimaev recently spoke to Brett Okamoto of ESPN MMA about a possible title fight against Pereira and said this:

"Israel beat everyone and he [Pereira] beat Israel. So which fight makes sense, everyone talking about me. This guy [Pereira] has 6-1 [record] and gets title fight, I don't understand. I'm 12-0 and I don't get title fight."

Khamzat Chimaev missed weight in his previous fight at welterweight, coming in at 7.5lbs over the limit. A move up to middleweight could be the logical next step for 'Borz'. However, the Chechen-born Swede has his eyes set on double-champion status.
