Khamzat Chimaev's training headquarters in Sweden, Allstars Gym, has been banned from participating in Swedish MMA competitions for the foreseeable future.

The gym is also home to UFC light heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson and heavyweight contender Ilir Latifi. With the help of head coach Andreas Michael, the gym has been a flagship of MMA in Sweden for many years.

The Swedish MMA Federation did not go into detail about the reason for the ban but mentioned in a tweet that they had received repeated complaints from various organizations and officials about the gym members' conduct:

"This is due to repeated complaints from several different, independent of each other organizers and officials about, among other things, threats and other disruptions during competitions."

Twitter user @heynottheface did go on to correct himself by stating that the Allstars Gym has not been shut down but that the gym's fighters have been banned from competing locally.

Meanwhile, head coach Andreas Michael posted on Instagram that a brand new state-of-the-art Allstars Gym will open in January. He will be hoping that the ban is lifted sooner rather than later and that his fighters can return to competition:

"You have heard the rumours about the new fascility, finaly We would like to introduce you to our new state of the art center that Will open in JANUARY!"

Fortunately for Khamzat Chimaev, the ban will not affect him. A fight with Colby Covington is looking more and more likely, and 'Borz' will need to prepare as well as possible to overcome 'Chaos'.

Khamzat Chimaev vs. Colby Covington will likely be co-main to Edwards vs. Usman 3, says Dana White

Khamzat Chimaev could face Colby Covington in London, according to Dana White, who is eager to return to England's capital.

The UFC president sat down with Adam Catterall of BT Sport. White mentioned how long it has been since the UFC hosted an enormous pay-per-view card in the UK. He claimed that the London card will resemble the UFC 280 card in Abu Dhabi, which has been billed as the most stacked pay-per-view of 2022.

Catterall asked the UFC president if Chimaev would be fighting at 170lbs after missing weight last time out. White replied:

"Khamzat wants to fight at 170. I'm gonna give him one more opportunity to fight at 170. He needs to deliver and make weight. And I would love for that fight to be in England too."

The UFC president was also interviewed by Oscar Willis of TheMacLife, and the journalist proposed having Colby Convington vs. Khamzat Chimaev as the co-main event on the UFC London card. White responded with this:

"I agree with you. I'm on it... I'll get it done."
