Michael Chandler believes the upcoming season of UFC's 'The Ultimate Fighter' might help Conor McGregor "find his roots".

'Iron' recently did an interview with Ashley Brewer for ESPN where he discussed his involvement as a coach in the upcoming season of the UFC cult show 'The Ultimate Fighter'. Speaking about McGregor, who will be coaching against him, Chandler said that the show might help the Irishman become the best version of himself.

"On ESPN, we're doing The Ultimate Fighter. Team Chandler versus Team McGregor. He's gonna be immersed in that house on ESPN for weeks on end. Seeing these young fighters, their dreams hopefully coming to fruition, he gets to coach them, he gets to be around them, he gets to impact them. I think we're gonna see a nostalgia of Conor McGregor. He's gonna find his roots again and I'm expecting the best Conor we've ever seen," said Michael Chandler.

UFC president Dana White recently announced Chandler and McGregor as coaches for the latest 'TUF' season. White added that after the show, the two athletes will lock horns inside the octagon.

According to White, the official date for the fight is yet to be decided.

Conor McGregor has featured in a previous installment of 'TUF'. In 'The Ultimate Fighter 22', 'The Notorious' was a coach opposite Urijah Faber.

Michael Bisping believes Conor McGregor could earn title shot with victory over Michael Chandler

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping does not believe the road back to a championship title would be too tough for Conor McGregor.

In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, 'The Count' weighed in on the exciting matchup. According to Bisping, a victory over Chandler might be all that the Irishman may need in order to fight for the UFC title again.

"If McGregor gets it done, will we see him fight for the title next? That is a given. That is 100 percent. Just prepare yourself mentally for that. Regardless of whatever you think, he’s the biggest star in the sport. He’s a former two-weight division champion, and he’s a person that people want to see fight."
