Bayanduuren, however, showed a lot of courage, refusing to tap in amid the immense pressure he was getting from the champion.The Mongolian warrior, however, paid dearly for it as his left leg and ankle were left shattered in the aftermath, with reports saying he has to undergo surgery that will require considerable time to recover.In the ONE Fight Night 6 post-event interview, Mikey Musumeci gave props to Bayanduuren but was perplexed over what went down during their fight.He said:“I don't know, how do I shut my mind from doing a submission when it's like popping someone's limb? I wasn't being stubborn this time. Like it actually was popping. Like if it wasn't popping and it's like, ‘Okay.’ But I felt it kept breaking. So I feel like I wasn't being as stubborn as I usually am but I still didn't do it enough. What a tough opponent. What a warrior he is for breaking his leg for no reason.”The result marked Mikey Musumeci's first successful defense of the world title he won just last September.
