An MMA promotion that had several UFC-fighters competing in an event has received backlash for blatant incompetency. Xtreme MMA 6: Bash at the Beach (Xtreme MMA) has come under public scrutiny for canceling the scheduled event.

The card was supposed to be headlined by former UFC bantamweight fighter Saidyokub Kakhramonov, who was released from the organization after his submission loss to Said Nurmagomedov in December last year. The card also featured Luis Pena, who was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter: Undefeated season 27 and competed eight times under the UFC banner.

The card also featured former UFC fighters Vince Morales, Jared Vanderaa and Louis Cosce. XMMA released a statement on Facebook regarding the cancelation of the event, writing:

"Due to Security Staffing Shortages at The John T Rhodes Center, XMMA 6 Has been rescheduled for Wednesday May 3rd 2023."

MMA reporter Amy Kaplan shed light on the cancelation of the event on Twitter. She wrote:

"The event that Saidyokub Kakhramonov was supposed to headline has been canceled. Luis Pena spoke about it on Insagram and doesn't seem happy with the promotion's explanation. He says he found out about it being off on FB and now they won't answer calls about it. @XMMATV."

Luis Pena shared an Instagram story venting out his frustration, bearing in mind the efforts it took to book a fight. He wrote:

"I had 7 different dudes across 4 different promotions all decline me, the Colorado commission got a boner for me and wouldn't approve a match up when we finally got someone for April 29th then finally able to convince a dude to nut up and the promotion finds the weakest excuse to cancel the entire show they said moved to may 3rd but I don't believe that especially when nobody from XMMA can answer the phone now."
