For the first time since May 2019, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will be in action in front of his home fans in Thailand. He's set to defend the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title against Alaverdi Ramazanov at ONE on Prime Video 6 on January 13.

The world championship showdown was announced by Thairath and later confirmed by ONE Championship. On Instagram, Russia's Ramazanov shared:

"Let’s go 13 January"

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is one of the most talented and well-decorated champions in the history of ONE Championship. The Thai-born fighter is undefeated across nine consecutive fights in the promotion, including six world title defenses. His four most recent fights ended via knockout. With an incredible professional record of 264-54-10, he is certainly not an easy man to knock off his throne.

Meanwhile, Russia's Alaverdi Ramazanov will be looking to do just that when these two throw down. 'Babyface Killer' is a former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion. He lost his throne to Capitan Petchyindee, a defeat he avenged with authority just over a month ago at ONE 161.

The No.2-ranked fighter in the division is now staking his claim for a shot at gold against his legendary Thai foe.

The two talented fighters will have a high-stakes match for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai thone, which will be broadcast live in US primetime from Bangkok, Thailand.

Alaverdi Ramazanov believes Nong-O Gaiyanghadao's time is done

After his most recent wins, 'Babyface' Killer' Alaverdi Ramazanov is confident he can capture the throne from the dangerous Nong-O Gaiyanghadao.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the Russian discussed his thoughts on the 35-year-old Thai world champion, saying:

“His time has passed, and it’s my time. I’m sure I’ll take the belt from him.”

However, the Russian striker also gave credit where it's due, showing respect to the legend that is Nong-O:

“[Nong-O is] a dangerous opponent. I think he’s the best fighter in ONE, the best Muay Thai boxer in the world. He has a long winning streak, he’s a knockout fighter, clean striking and kicking. Nong-O is a dangerous and technical opponent.”

It will be an electric Muay Thai battle that fans will no doubt eagerly anticipate. Destructive Thai legend Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will look to add more world title defenses to his prestigious name, while the former kickboxing king will be looking to associate his name with a new crown.
