Reigning and undisputed ONE women's atomweight MMA world champion Stamp Fairtex of Thailand is getting bored sitting on the sidelines.
The 27-year-old Thai megastar fell to injury with a torn meniscus earlier this year while training for a defense of her title against Denice Zamboanga.
Stamp had surgery immediately after and has now spent months in recovery and rehabilitiation. The Fairtex Training Center representative admits the entire process has been a struggle, and she has yet to be cleared to return to full training.
In a video posted by Fairtex Training Center on YouTube, Stamp shared an update on her status to fans, saying she is just doing her best with what she has right now outside of the gym.
The 27-year-old said:
"I’m not back to training yet. Not 100 percent back yet. I only go to the gym to [help rebuild] the muscle on my knee, and that’s it. I haven’t fought for one year and no one sees me training on social media, only dancing or something. I’m still recovering."
Needless to say fans certainly cannot wait for Stamp's return to action, which can't come soon enough for the Bangkok native.
Stamp Fairtex says the best is yet to come as she prepares for her comeback: "Now is my time to shine"
Atomweight MMA queen Stamp Fairtex is confident she will be back inside the ONE Championship ring, competing among the very best in the world's largest martial arts organization as early as the first quarter of 2025.
And when that happens, Stamp says she will be better than ever.
She said:
"I promise I’m gonna come back and for sure I will pay attention, focus, because now I’m 27 and I don’t know how long I’m gonna fight. Now is my time to shine to let everyone know who I am. So yeah, I will come back."
