ONE Championship made another blockbuster announcement regarding the ONE on Prime Video 5 event scheduled for December 2nd.

Emanating from the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manila, the event will feature a featherweight kickboxing world championship bout between reigning titleholder Superbon Singha Mawynn and No. 1 ranked contender Chingiz Allazov.

Chingiz Allazov earned his No. 1 contender spot after running through Samy Sana, Jo Nattawut, and Sitthichai Sitsonpeenong in the ONE Championship Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix tournament. The tourney came to a close at ONE X in March.

The two warriors were originally scheduled to square off as part of the ONE on Prime Video 2 card. ‘Chinga’ was forced to withdraw during fight week due to an injury. As a result, Tayfun Ozcan was slated to step in and face Superbon at the event. However, the Thai star was later forced out of the event due to illness.

In the end, fans were treated to a highly entertaining battle between Ozcan and No. 2 ranked featherweight contender Marat Grigorian. The Armenian striker scored a unanimous decision win over Ozcan.

Chingiz Allazov is ready to show off his boxing skills in ONE Championship title fight

It’s been a long time coming, but Chingiz Allazov will finally get his shot at ONE featherweight kickboxing champion Superbon Singha Mawynn as part of another stellar Amazon Prime Video lineup on December 2nd. Fans will be treated to an all-out war between two of the absolute best strikers in the world of kickboxing.

As far as who is the better striker, ‘Chinga’ believes he has skills superior to that of Superbon. Though he may be a little biased, Allazov doubled down on his claim in an interview with ONE Championship. He suggested his boxing skills are three times better than the man who is yet to suffer defeat inside the Circle.

“[Superbon] has good kicks, I have the same good kicks. He has good boxing, but I have two-to-three times better boxing than him, and more power than him. In this sport, it comes down to who is clever, who is more powerful, who has more timing, and who has a good game plan.”
