'The Baddy' dismissed Joe Rogan's suggestion that the fight was close during the post-fight interview in the octagon.

But Pimblett recently admitted during an interview with Mike Bohn that after rewatching the fight, he realized it was closer than he initially thought. 'The Baddy' still believes he won at least two of the three rounds, but was surprised with the number of left hooks 'Flash' landed during the first two rounds.

Paddy Pimblett stated that he would be open to a rematch with Jared Gordon towards the end of 2023, to lay to rest the controversy surrounding UFC 282.

"I won the first two rounds, the first round was closer than I thought on the night. When I watched it back, on the night I thought [Jared Gordon] only hit me with about two left hooks, [but] when I watched it back he hit me with about 6 or 7... It's however you score the first round. But if everyone wants to see it again, I don't mind beating him up at the end of the year."

During a recent interview with Mike Bohn, Paddy Pimblett shared an update on his health status and plans for 2023.

"I haven't got surgery yet... I get home from here, I land home on the 6th [of March] and get surgery on the 7th. I'll be in a boot for a few weeks. Back fighting at the end of the year... I think I had a little bit of wear-and-tear on [the ankle] already, and on the MRI scan there's a bit of cartilage floating about and a ligament reconstruction."
