Robert Whittaker is enjoying his time away from the Octagon. However, Chimaev pulled out of the bout due to health issues.Ikram Aliskerov stepped in as a replacement, and Whittaker delivered an amazing performance, knocking the Russian out in the first round. Whittaker later faced Chimaev at UFC 308, where he suffered a quick loss.Speaking on the MMArcade podcast, the former middleweight champion reflected on his setback, stating that he trained a lot of wrestling for his fight with Chimaev but still fell short. He praised ‘Borz', saying:“I felt real comfortable standing with him [Chimaev]. Then, the dude drops like a millimeter — how do you stop that takedown? We did a lot of wrestling, we did a lot of wall work, but it’s so hard to replicate that sort of takedown, that sort of commitment.“Props to him.
