Conor McGregor looked back on his stunning first-round TKO victory over Diego Brandao when he headlined UFC Fight Night 46 in 2014 in front of his home crowd.

'Notorious' main-evented the card in just his third fight in the UFC. The Irishman headed into the bout off the back of a TKO win over Marcus Brimage and a decision victory over Max Holloway. The fight was seen as a major turning point for McGregor as he proved he belonged in the UFC's main-event scene.

The 34-year-old reminisced about the fight on his Twitter account, sharing a clip from the pre-fight press conference where he predicted a first-round finish:

"When I go out there and put Diego away in the first round, I will prove my worth."

During his octagon interview, Conor McGregor said:

"Man honestly. I said I was going to put him away in the first round. I put him away in the first round. It would have to be something special to come over here in my hometown and take this away from me. There's not a man alive that can come on this soil and beat me."

The bout proved to be a catalyst for success for Conor McGregor as he went on to defeat Dustin Poirier and Chad Mendes before capturing the featherweight title from Jose Aldo at the end of 2015.

Joe Rogan and Sean O'Malley weigh in on Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler

On the latest edition of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) MMA Show #133, Joe Rogan and Sean O'Malley discussed the iconic Irishman and whether or not he will make his UFC return next year.

Many fighters have thrown their hats into the ring in regards to fighting McGregor, but Michael Chandler leads as both the bookies' and fans' favorite for the bout. 'Iron' has quickly become one of the UFC's biggest stars despite his 2-3 record since his debut last year. The 36-year-old has also previously called for a fight with 'Mystic Mac'.

'Sugar' spoke about how the fight could go. According to him, Chandler often throws hooks that would leave an opening for the counter punching Conor McGregor:

"Chandler is dangerous, but he's shorter and he throws f*****g hooks. Conor is bigger and he's a sniper who throws down the middle."

Rogan followed up by adding:

"Chandler can take it though... Bounce back. That guy has a warrior spirit. Crazy warrior spirit. Like, maybe too crazy... That's how he gets the fans too. He's just do-or-die. You can guarantee, if Michael Chandler is fighting, some f*****g chaos is gonna happen."
