Former UFC middleweight Darren Till is seemingly plotting a boxing match against Logan Paul.

Till was recently removed from the UFC roster following a submission loss to Dricus du Plessis last December, making it the Liverpudlian's fifth loss in his last six outings. 'The Gorilla' subsequently claimed to have asked for his release in order to deal with lingering health issues.

Logan Paul's rival Dillon Danis has now claimed that 'The Maverick' will be Darren Till's next opponent. 'El Jefe' wrote in a since-deleted tweet:

"He ran from me to go fight a 1-5 Darren Till"

Danis' tweet came shortly after Paul made an announcement about having a new opponent without revealing the name, on the IMPAULSIVE podcast. 'The Maverick' told Dave Portnoy:

"I've got a new opponent. Not said yet. I'll tell you and we'll bleep it."

While Dillon Danis isn't a reliable source by any means, even Till alluded to a boxing gig next. 'The Gorilla' tweeted emojis of a pair of boxing gloves, a bag of money and a finger pointing upwards.

Darren Till is confident about a UFC return

Darren Till has been having issues with his knees since a unanimous decision loss to Robert Whittaker in 2020 that started a three-fight skid.

'The Gorilla' has now decided to take some time off and nurse himself back to health before returning to the UFC. Till also has concerns about passing USADA tests during this period since his knee injury might require some 'injections'.

While UFC exec Hunter Campbell seemingly wasn't very enthusiastic about Till's potential return, 'The Gorilla' has no doubt that he will change in a couple of years. The 30-year-old recently told ESPN MMA:

"Maybe I could give myself two years off from the UFC and come back. See what's out there for two years, make my body healthy. [UFC chief business officer Hunter Campbell's] reply was, 'Listen, I'll support you but you know we're not in the habit of bringing people back to the UFC.' I understand, but in my head I was thinking, 'Your opinion will change in two years, mate.' I know for a fact, two or three years max, I'll be back in the UFC."
