ONE women's atomweight Muay Thai world champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues went to war with former divisional world champ Stamp Fairtex for the belt back in 2020. Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, a relative unknown at the time, was making her ONE debut.

Coming into the bout, Stamp had the accolade of winning both the ONE atomweight kickboxing and Muay Thai world titles in her freshman year in the promotion. A few months prior to her five-round war with Rodrigues, however, Stamp Fairtex had already lost her kickboxing belt to Janet Todd.

The Thai star was not intent on losing her second belt that night and it was highly evident throughout the match.

While the first three rounds were pretty much a toss-up, the Brazilian striker started pouring pressure in the fourth and fifth rounds. By the end of the fourth, Stamp was clearly wearing the damage to her face. Still, this never broke her will as she kept firing back every time Rodrigues connected.

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, however, proved to be an absolute tank that evening. Stamp threw strikes in rapid succession like a buzzsaw. Eventually, however, the tank flattened the violent buzzsaw. Allycia Hellen Rodrigues won the fight and the world title via majority decision.

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues and Stamp Fairtex went on different career paths after their fight

After their Muay Thai war in 2020, Rodrigues and Stamp went their separate ways and found success in different paths. Stamp chose to focus on fully transitioning into MMA. She went on to win the ONE women's atomweight world Grand Prix silver belt with a shot at ONE women's atomweight world champion Angela Lee. Stamp and Lee co-headlined ONE's biggest event yet, ONE X last year.

Despite losing her bout with Lee, the flamboyant Thai star bounced back with back-to-back wins over Jihin Radzuan and Supergirl Jaroonsak. The latter marked her return to ONE kickboxing. Stamp Fairtex is now bound to make her US debut against American MMA standout Alyse Anderson at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5.

Rodrigues hasn't fought since winning the belt from Stamp. The Brazilian world champion took some time away from the sport due to pregnancy. Meanwhile, ONE put together an interim world title in her absence, which went to another woman who beat Stamp Fairtex for the belt, ONE atomweight kickboxing world champion Janet Todd.

Now ready to compete once again, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues will defend her throne for the first time in a world title unification bout with Janet Todd at ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24. The two were originally scheduled to fight at ONE on Prime Video 5 back in December 2022, but 'JT' had to pull out due to contracting COVID-19.

Fans in North America can watch ONE Fight Night events live and for free on Prime Video with an active Amazon subscription.
