Saudis orchestrating Mike Tyson-Francis Ngannou training camp for huge sums of money, according to reports

Francis Ngannou is set to make his professional boxing debut when he faces Tyson Fury in an exhibition bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this weekend. While the former UFC heavyweight champion will have Mike Tyson in his corner, recent reports suggest that the Saudi officials behind the event have paid the legendary former WBC, WBA, and IBF heavyweight champion to do so.

Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports tweeted about the situation, saying:

"The Saudis have paid Mike Tyson to act as Francis Ngannou’s trainer (very, Very, VERY handsomely, I’m told). They are flying in celeb boxers, including Pacquiao, Duran, Morales, Big George Foreman, MA Barrera, Joe Calzaghe, Tommy Hearns, Frank Bruno. Floyd Mayweather may go too"

While it is unclear if Tyson is indeed being paid to act as Ngannou's trainer, he has appeared to be in camp with 'The Predator' for several months. The former UFC heavyweight champion has shared that the International Boxing Hall of Famer is helping him work on his delivery system.

Meanwhile, 'Iron Mike' has claimed that Ngannou will be the hardest puncher that Fury has faced while noting that he is a faster learner and could surprise fans.

Francis Ngannou shares different account of how he landed Mike Tyson as a trainer

Francis Ngannou revealed his corner for his professional boxing debut against Tyson Fury this weekend. 'The Predator' will be cornered by Mike Tyson, Eric Nicksick, Dewey Cooper and John M'Bumba.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour, the former UFC heavyweight champion revealed how he landed the International Boxing Hall of Famer, stating:

"Since the first time that I met him four years ago - I think it was July 2019 - from that very first time, I made the request for him to be in my corner if ever and whenever I fight Tyson Fury, and he accepted and then we stayed in touch.

"I've been on his podcast a couple times after that and then we stayed in touch. We got in a couple occasions we had to meet and talk, but never about this fight until it became real four months ago, and I made a call."
