Aspen Ladd recently compared the attention-seeking fighters in the UFC to "discount Conor McGregors." The former UFC bantamweight has praised her new home, the Professional Fighters League (PFL), for not putting too much value on their fighters' self-promotional skills.

Speaking to MMAFighting, Ladd opened up about the difference between competing in the UFC and PFL. Speaking about her aversion to disingenuous behavior on the fighters' part, Ladd said:

“There’s a lot of discount Conor [McGregors] these days and they’re doing it just because they want the attention, but it’s so insincere... You all know why someone’s trying to do that... Like they have to do certain things to get the attention... It would be amazing if we were just basically judged on the merits of what we do... But we’re not, it’s an entertainment sport."

The 27-year-old went on to applaud the PFL's decision to include a featherweight division from 2023 onwards, claiming that the UFC clarified that they are not keen on developing the women's 145-pound weight class. Ladd also seemed to take a shot at Amanda Nunes, saying:

"If somebody is in the UFC fighting at 145... They need to start looking at other options because I don’t think that weight class is going to be there for much longer... It just exists so Amanda [Nunes] can hold two belts."

Aspen Ladd is fresh off beating Julia Budd in her PFL debut after being released from the UFC in October. She was cut from the Dana White-led promotion due to repeated issues with making the non-championship bantamweight limit of 136 pounds.

Conor McGregor hits back at AEW star who called Paddy Pimblett "a dollar store Conor McGregor"

Conor McGregor fired back at All Elite Wrestling (AEW) champ Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) on Twitter, calling him a "clown."

Paddy Pimblett and MJF had a heated exchange on social media recently, with the UFC lightweight even challenging the AEW champion to an MMA fight. Over the course of this back-and-forth, MJF called Pimblett "a dollar store Conor McGregor."

Responding to the pro-wrestling star's remarks, 'The Notorious' tweeted:

"A dollar store Conor is still worth millions! Let’s go young Paddy Pimb! Don’t know who this other clown is."

Refusing to back off, MJF clapped back at McGregor:

"I’ll f*** the Conor clone up. Then I’ll wipe my a** with the original. Stay in your lane you roided up leprechaun. You can’t hang with the @AEW World Champion."
