Tyron Woodley reacted furiously to a post on Instagram which ranked him behind Nick Diaz and Robbie Lawler in a list of the welterweight division's best fighters.

The former 170-pound champ exited the UFC in 2021 after falling to a first-round submission loss to Vicente Luque. The defeat was Woodley's fourth in a row, with 'The Chosen One' previously losing to Gilbert Burns and Colby Covington, and dropping the title to Kamaru Usman.

Whilst Woodley appeared a shadow of himself in his final fights, the 40-year-old was, at one point, one of the most feared competitors in the organization. Prior to dropping the 170-pound strap, he was undefeated through seven fights, which included retaining the title with a draw against Stephen Thompson and defending the belt three times.

In a post by @mmauncensored, the popular MMA page ranked Tyron Woodley as No.6 in their top UFC welterweights.

"1 - Georges St-Pierre, 2 - Kamaru Usman, 3 - Nick Diaz, 4 - Robbie Lawler, 5 -Matt Hughes, 6 - Tyron Woodley"

Woodley responded to the post, furious that he was ranked behind Lawler and Diaz.

The former welterweight champ pointed out that he previously defeated 'Ruthless' via first-round KO to win the title and that Nick Diaz has never held UFC gold. Tyron Woodley suggested his own order instead:

"How could Robbie be above me and I smashed him. Nick never won a title. With this logic I'm above Usman. GSP, Matt, Usman, Robbie, Johnny [Hendricks], [Carlos] Condit, Nick"

Tyron Woodley considering possible UFC comeback

Tyron Woodley expressed an interest in returning to the UFC in a swansong effort to turn-around his four-fight skid.

Upon leaving the organization in 2021 off the back of four defeats, Woodley briefly tried his hand at boxing, facing former Disney star Jake Paul twice in 2021. The 40-year-old came up short on both occasions, losing via split decision and KO.

Now, in an interview with BJPenn.com, 'The Chosen One' has suggested he may not be done fighting.

Woodley claimed that he hasn't closed any doors in regards to an MMA return and would be open to turning around his misfortune in the UFC octagon so he can be remembered on a better note:

"I’m a free agent and I’m enjoying my liberation. I’m enjoying doing what I want to do. Fighting when I want to fight and fighting for the amount of money I want. I’m the only guy in this sport that can do that... I have no door closed. I’m a businessman, I can fight in any business I want to. I can fight in any organization I want to. ONE, Bellator, Glory, PFL, UFC. I don’t get my feelings hurt in business. I don’t have to invite you to my daughter’s birthday as long as the check clears." [h/t MMA Fighting]
