Brandon Moreno started as the early aggresor, scoring a takedown on Deiveson Figueiredo in the opening seconds. However, 'The Assassin Baby' barely landed any damage as Figueiredo locked him in a half-guillotine before popping back up.

Moreno landed his second takedown in the closing seconds of the first round but had to ride it out defending a heel hook attempt from 'Deus da Guerra'.

Figueiredo turned the tables in round 2 by landing the first takedown although Moreno popped right back up. 'The Assassin Baby' maintained a high pace with repeated takedown attempts, one of which was used by Figueiredo to jump a standing guillotine. Moreno spent some time locked in the guillotine before changing positions and riding out the round in top control.

Moreno landed the biggest punch of the fight in round 3, cutting 'Deus da Guerra' open below the left eye. While Figueiredo protested about an eye poke, the open-handed shot from Moreno actually connected on the opposite side of his face. 'The Assassin Baby' spent the rest of the round on the ground as control time continued to pile up for the Mexican.

Watch the highlights below:

Figueiredo was deemed unfit to answer the bell for the fourth round by the cageside doctor, forcing an end to the first ever UFC quadrilogy. Brandon Moreno was crowned the new UFC flyweight champion, becoming the only fighter to stop 'Deus da Guerra', twice.

Deiveson Figueiredo leaves the division after losing to Brandon Moreno

Deiveson Figueiredo has had several issues cutting weight throughout his UFC career. 'Deus da Guerra' has now finally decided to move up a weight class as his epic saga with Brandon Moreno likely came to an end on Saturday night.

Figueiredo opened his gloves as he announced his move up to bantamweight via a translator.

'Deus da Guerra' is currently training with Henry Cejudo, who is expected to return to the octagon soon for a bantamweight title run if not a title shot. Deiveson Figueiredo previously mentioned that he would go for bantamweight gold as long as Cejudo isn't the champion.

Meanwhile, Morena had to be shielded by security personnel as he was ushered back to safety, away from Brazilian fans throwing trash at him.
