Justin Gaethje claims "he won't be around much longer" following victory over Rafael Fiziev at UFC 286

In the co-main event of UFC 286, Justin Gaethje snapped Rafael Fiziev's winning streak, handing 'Ataman' his first loss since 2019.

Gaethje returned to the win column following his submission loss to Charles Oliveira for the lightweight championship at UFC 274.

The fight between Gaethje and Fiziev was an excellent contest between two elite contenders, with the former interim lightweight champion demonstrating that he still has plenty of fight left in him.

However, Gaethje claimed in the post-fight octagon interview that he might not be around for a longtime. He said:

“The perfect dance partner. I got my takedown, everybody can shut the f**k up now. These guys are young, hungry and that’s a dangerous motherf***er right there. I’m taking one more run at the title but I won’t be around much longer.”
