All but one fighter made weight for UFC 286. The sole fighter who failed to tame the scales was flyweight contender Malcolm Gordon, who weighed in at 129.5lbs (3.5lbs over the official limit) for his fight against Jake Hadley.

The headliner for the fight card was made official as both Kamaru Usman and welterweight champion Leon Edwards made weight for the fight, coming in at 170lbs.

In a surprise for the fans, former two-time welterweight title challenger Colby Covington also weighed in at 170lbs to serve as the official backup fighter for the main event.

Interestingly, both of Covington's previous title fight losses have come against 'The Nigerian Nightmare'.

The co-main event between Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev was also confirmed as both men successfully made the required 156lbs for the lightweight match-up.

UFC 286 marks the third meeting between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards. Currently, both fighters hold one win against the other. Usman lost his welterweight crown to Edwards last year at UFC 278. Although 'The Nigerian Nightmare' was ahead on the scorecards coming into the fifth round, a head kick by 'Rocky' in the dying seconds of the fight sent the 35-year-old crashing to the canvas.

The main card also features former middleweight title challenger Marvin Vettori in a fight against Roman Dolidze. In another standout fight on the card, undefeated women's flyweight contender Casey O'Neill will take on former title challenger Jennifer Maia.
