It looks like Colby Covington was overjoyed to see Leon Edwards retain the welterweight title against Kamaru Usman. Footage posted by an MMA fan on Twitter shows 'Chaos' jumping for joy as 'Rocky' is announced as the winner of the UFC 286 main event.
However, fight fans seem convinced that Covington's joy doesn't come from him being a fan of Edwards, but rather from the opportunity of a possible title shot the result presents him with.
'Chaos' already has two losses against Usman in title fights. If Usman had won in London, it would've effectively removed him from the championship picture. But since Edwards won, Covington is right back in the welterweight title contention picture.
Take a look at some of the hilarious fan reactions the Colby Covington video has produced.
Twitter user @MMAFayce says that Covington is happy because the result effectively earns him a title shot:
"Nah he’s happy he can be gifted a title shot."
User @therainvvs responded by posting a meme about the situation.
Another netizen, @ChrisAg0914, suggested that 'Chaos' is overjoyed by the result because he doesn't want to lose to 'The Nigerian Nightmare' a third time.
Twitter user @neverbeenequal pointed out the hilarity of the situation, stating:
"He [Colby Covington] getting all hyped like Leon didn’t just piece up the dude who broke his face and beat him twice."
Another user stated that Covington is happy because the result turned around 'Chaos' fortunes by making him eligible for an immediate title shot rather than having to face a top contender like Shavkat Rakhmonov in his next fight.

Dana White confirms Colby Covington is next in line for the title shot
It looks like fight fans were on to something when they predicted Colby Covington might get an immediate title shot as a result of Leon Edwards' win over former pound-for-pound king Kamaru Usman.
Surprisingly, during the post-fight press conference for the March 18 fight card, UFC president Dana White confirmed that 'Chaos' is next in line for a title shot against 'Rocky'. The 53-year-old elaborated saying:
"I don't know when we'll do it, but yeah, that's the fight that makes sense and Colby came here and cut weight and did everything to be here for this fight, he deserves the fight [title shot]. Not to mention the fact he is the second or third-best guy in the world. Yeah [it's Edwards vs. Covington next]."
