The UFC is headed to the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024 (U.S. time) for the upcoming pay-per-view event, UFC 307: Pereira vs. Rountree Jr.
The card will feature two title fights on tap and a series of other intriguing battles involving top contenders and prospects across different weight classes.
The event will be headlined by a thrilling light heavyweight title showdown between defending champion Alex Pereira and No.8-ranked contender Khalil Rountree Jr.
Pereira captured the 205-pound crown with a vicious TKO win over Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295. 'Poatan' defended the belt by knocking out Jamahal Hill at UFC 300 and followed that up with another TKO of Prochazka in a rematch last time out at UFC 303. The Brazilian will now look to make a third successful title defense in Salt Lake City.
Rountree Jr, meanwhile, is riding a five-fight win streak into this fight. 'The War Horse' won four of those fights via finishes, with his latest triumph coming over former title challenger Anthony Smith via TKO last December.
