The UFC is headed to the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024 (U.S. time) for the upcoming pay-per-view event, UFC 307: Pereira vs. Rountree Jr.

The card will feature two title fights on tap and a series of other intriguing battles involving top contenders and prospects across different weight classes.

The event will be headlined by a thrilling light heavyweight title showdown between defending champion Alex Pereira and No.8-ranked contender Khalil Rountree Jr.

Pereira captured the 205-pound crown with a vicious TKO win over Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295. 'Poatan' defended the belt by knocking out Jamahal Hill at UFC 300 and followed that up with another TKO of Prochazka in a rematch last time out at UFC 303. The Brazilian will now look to make a third successful title defense in Salt Lake City.

Rountree Jr, meanwhile, is riding a five-fight win streak into this fight. 'The War Horse' won four of those fights via finishes, with his latest triumph coming over former title challenger Anthony Smith via TKO last December.

UFC women's bantamweight champion Raquel Pennington will also feature on Saturday's pay-per-view card as she takes on former titleholder Julianna Pena in the co-main event.

Pennington won the vacant women's bantamweight title with a unanimous decision win over Mayra Bueno Silva at UFC 297. The Colorado native will be seeking her seventh straight victory when she makes her first title defense on Saturday.

Pena. on the other hand, is set to make her first octagon appearance since dropping the title to Amanda Nunes back at UFC 277 in July 2022. 'The Venezuelan Vixen' will hope to become a two-time champion when she meets Pennington in Salt Lake City.

In another intriguing matchup, UFC Hall of Famer Jose Aldo will face Mario Bautista in a clash of bantamweights.

Also on the card, No.2-ranked women's bantamweight contender Ketlen Vieira will square off against two-time PFL champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison, who is positioned right behind the Brazilian at No.3.

To kick off the UFC 307 main card, Roman Dolidze will go toe-to-toe with fan favorite Kevin Holland in a middleweight matchup.
