UFC Hall-of-Famer claims Francis Ngannou could possibly win boxing debut if he performs "half as good as" Conor McGregor

Former UFC fighter Michael Bisping believes that if Francis Ngannou performs half as well in his boxing debut as Conor McGregor did against Floyd Mayweather, 'The Predator' could emerge victorious.

In a video on his YouTube channel, 'The Count' weighed in on the odds of Ngannou being successful in his first boxing contest. Speaking about a potential superfight between the Cameroonian and Tyson Fury, Bisping said that if Ngannou puts on a performance half as impressive as McGregor's against Mayweather, he might find success against 'The Gypsy King'.

He did, however, note that the chances of a win would still remain slim if Ngannou's debut comes against the WBC heavyweight champion:

"Could the heavyweight champion [Francis Ngannou], a massive monster-of-a-man with ridiculous punching power, could he catch the heavyweight boxing champion of the world [Tyson Fury] and knock him out unconscious? Wow! I wanna see this. Because the last time we saw it [was] Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. Conor gave a good account of himself. If Francis could do half as good as that but with the power he's got, maybe he gets a knockout. But more than likely, [it's] not very likely against Tyson Fury."

Francis Ngannou recently parted ways with the UFC to explore other opportunities in the world of combat sports. On multiple occasions, the Cameroonian has expressed interest in stepping foot in the ring and has mentioned names like Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder as possible opponents.

Although no official announcement has been made, there is a good chance that 'The Predator' will soon have a boxing match.
