Brendan Allen made the most out of his maiden UFC main event opportunity against Andre Muniz at UFC Vegas 70. The middleweight bout was bumped to the main event spot after Nikita Krylov pulled out of his fight against Ryan Spann due to illness.

The three-round main event clash between the two Dana White Contender Series graduates was a closely contested bout for as long as it lasted. The fight began with both combatants opening with strong low leg kicks from distance. Brendan Allen did a good job of diversifying his attack with solid body kicks. Muniz, on the other hand, tried to close the distance and even attempted to score a takedown.

The second round progressed similarly, with Brendan Allen seemingly getting the upperhand in the standup exchanges. Two minutes into the round, Andre Muniz shot for a takedown only for Allen to reverse the position and land on top. He maintained top control and landed solid shots from that position till the end of the round.

Both fighters picked up the pace in the third round, recognizing that it was a razor-thin contest. The decisive moment in the fight came when Allen caught a body kick attempt from Muniz and took him down. He attempted an arm triangle and craftily switched to a rear-naked choke, forcing a tap out of Muniz at 4:25 on the clock.

With the victory at UFC Vegas 70, Brendan Allen snapped Muniz's nine-fight undefeated run and extended his own winning streak to 4-0.

Brendan Allen lists names of fighters he would like to face next

Highly charged with the sensational submission victory that he picked over Andre Muniz at UFC Vegas 70, Brendan Allen grabbed the opportunity to call out many fighters in the middleweight division for a potential fight.

Allen seeks retribution over the likes of Sean Strickland and Chris Curtis, who have defeated him in the past. The American has TKO losses on his record against Strickland and Curtis at UFC Vegas 14 and UFC Vegas 44 respectively.

Speaking in the post-fight octagon interview, Allen stated:

"I'm trying to fight everybody in this b*tch. I want to run it with Sean Strickland.... Let's run that back. Chris Curtis, let's run that back. If none of those two work, let's go Jack Hermansson. We've been supposed to confront for a couple of times, let's officially run that or Dricus Du Plessis. No matter what happens next week, you're still ahead of me.... Let's get this sh*t."
