Liam Harrison met Muangthai PK.Saenchai in April at ONE 156. Harrison faced some adversity in the early going, hitting the canvas following a solid high kick delivered by Muangthai. Harrison answered the count but went down again just seconds later when Muangthai landed a brutal left.

Determined to get back into the fight, Harrison once again answered the count. Knowing he was on the verge of losing, the British striker went off and delivered a barrage of strikes like a possessed madman. ‘Hitman’ scored a knockdown followed by two more in quick succession to score a TKO and complete one of the greatest comebacks in ONE Championship history.

Jonathan Haggerty is up for a UK clash with fellow Brit Liam Harrison

Liam Harrison and Jonathan ‘The General’ Haggerty are perhaps the two most impressive British strikers in all of Muay Thai. Until recently, the likelihood of seeing the two scrappers step inside the circle against one another was slim as they were in separate weight divisions. With Haggerty’s recent move to bantamweight, the door has been kicked open.

In an interview with ONE Championship, ‘The General’ shared his thoughts on the potential striker’s delight and said that if the fans want it, they can have it.

“Let's do it. I like Liam. I like his style. I like him as a person. Like, you know, when there's fans to be entertained, they have to be entertained and if they want that, that's what they can get.”

Haggerty has earned three straight wins inside the circle, his most recent appearance coming at ONE on Prime Video 4, where he secured a victory over Russian opponent Vladimir Kuzmin. Harrison is yet to return after suffering a leg injury from his world title challenge against Muay Thai icon Nong-O Gaiyanghadao.
