Sinsamut Klinmee and Nabil Anane knew something was off when Tawanchai PK Saenchai suffered one of the biggest losses of his career.
The ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion failed in his bid for a second piece of ONE Championship gold when he sustained a stunning third-round technical knockout loss to Masaaki Noiri.
Fans and fighters were in shock as they watched Noiri dominate Tawanchai for the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world title this past March at the historic Saitama Super Arena.
Sharing those sentiments were Sinsamut Klinmee and ONE interim bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nabil Anane.

In Sinsamut's interview with Tawanchai, the former ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title contender said he and Anane saw that the featherweight Muay Thai king lacked the usual power that easily put opponents to sleep.
Sinsamut said:
"I was there in Japan to watch the fight. I thought, 'Wow, if Tawanchai wasn't so thin...' I was talking to Nabil, who had just fought as well. We were sitting together, and Nabil said, 'Why is his kick so light today? He doesn't look strong when he kicks.' It surprised me too. As fellow fighters, we could see it."
Anane was at the same card when he beat old nemesis Superlek Kiatmoo9, while Sinsamut was in attendance to support the 6-foot-4 phenom.
Tawanchai initially pushed the pace against Noiri in the first round, but the Japanese superstar found his rhythm late in the second.
Noiri began stringing his combinations together in the second round and dropped Tawanchai with a nasty left hook near the midway point of the third.
Sensing Tawanchai was out of it, Noiri pounced and battered the Thai megastar with a flurry of punches for the stoppage win 1:55 into the third.

Tawanchai reveals he wasn't in his best condition when he fought Masaaki Noiri
Tawanchai PK Saenchai did his usual routine when he traveled to Japan to face off against Masaaki Noiri at ONE 172.
Despite bringing his provisions to Tokyo, Tawanchai felt he never refueled properly in the days leading up to his TKO loss to Noiri for the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world title.
In an interview with Sinsamut, Tawanchai said:
"I brought rice with me, and I thought I'd be fine. But on the morning of the fight, I felt dizzy, like I was low on energy. The food I brought also went bad. When I got in the ring, I was so much thinner than usual. In my previous fight, I gained 7-8 kilograms after the weigh-in, but for this one, it was only 3 kilograms. I knew then that I wouldn't have any strength."
