Conor McGregor and the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund aren't two parties that are usually paired together, at least not in the mind of the average MMA fan. However, the Irishman has increasingly committed to charitable efforts throughout the years.

'The Notorious' recently took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt post on the 9/11 terror attack on American soil. It is among the most historically significant tragedies to have ever occurred on American soil, and McGregor, despite not being a citizen of the country, is determined to do his part in helping those impacted by it.

But what exactly is the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund or the Euro Brokers he referenced on his Instagram post?

Conor McGregor's charity work throughout the years

As one of the wealthiest combat sports athletes in the world, Conor McGregor is no stranger to lending his assistance to charities and non-profit organizations. Last year, for example, the former UFC double champion donated £10,000 through Forged Irish Stout to Your Space Wales.

For context, Your Space Wales is a UK-based charity that supports children and young adults diagnosed with autism. He has also donated $1 million to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, a charitable organization that supports first responders, homeless military veterans, and others.

Earlier this year, he also sponsored a trip to Disneyland for an all-girls school in Ireland, for which he received praise from fans. So, despite his image as an over-the-top braggart, McGregor often uses his wealth to lend his assistance wherever and whenever possible.

What are the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and 61 Euro Brokers?

On Instagram, Conor McGregor highlighted the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and as many as 61 Euro Brokers before revealing that he had traded and raked in millions dollars, the proceeds of which went to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund. As he explains it, the aforementioned entity supports countless charities.

But what exactly is it? Canto Fitzgerald Relief is a non-profit organization that provides financial aid to families and civilians impacted by natural disasters and, of course, terrorism, like the 9/11 terror attacks, which it was formed to respond to.

Meanwhile, the 61 Euro Brokers are 61 employees of brokerage firm Euro Brokers Inc., who lost their lives during the aforementioned terror attacks.
